If you're a teacher who longingly wishes to have those amazing tech tools and classroom resources that you hear about in other classrooms and schools, this is a webinar you won't want to miss. Our special guest presenter, Dacia Jones, is here to answer your questions and provide guidance on how you can have it too! Join us for "Grant Writing with the Fairy Grantmother!" Dacia says: "Finding ways to get what we need in the classroom has never been easier. Learn the secrets to getting your grants funded quickly."
Dacia is currently the district Science Specialist and STEM Educator with Durham Public Schools in Durham, North Carolina. She is a Discovery Education Guru and Program Champion. She has been an educator for 20 years and absolutely LOVES anything to do with pedagogy. Her job involves teaching staff and students how to implement Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics into everyday instruction. She gets to wear a lab coat, lead labs for 500+ students a day, and blow things up. She is a HUGE fan of virtual field trips and SKYPE/HANGOUT opportunities. She believes that we should INSPIRE students by introducing them to what they can do when they finish school.
She created "Engage, Inspire, Expect, and Inform" four years ago to help inspire a new generation of teachers and encourage the seasoned ones. She has been a Discovery Education STAR for five years and is a proud cheerleader for this amazing product and community. She has been dubbed the "Fairy Grantmother" and regularly presents to staff on writing grants in districts across the country. Her desire is to empower educators with the ability to ENGAGE students and make a difference each and every day.
